Progress Update

You may have noticed surveyors working in the beach during the late summer. This work is complete. The next step is to take additional borings throughout the beach to refine the detailed plans. This work was scheduled for the first week in October.

New Developments

Benefit Assessment

We have completed the public benefit assessment meetings and are moving forward with our analysis. The meetings were well attended and we received valuable feedback. Thank you to all who attended the meetings and provided feedback through letters and e-mails. Although the formal meetings are complete, we welcome additional comments and feedback regarding benefit assessment.

We will hire an appraiser within the next thirty days to evaluate the expected increase in property values from the water and sewer project.

Value Engineering

Please refer to the September newsletter for a description of value engineering. We submitted RFQ’s to three firms and are evaluating their qualifications and interest levels. We expect to hire a firm within the next thirty days.
